Read Across America

Union County Education Association sponsored Read Across America read-a-thons at the Barnes & Noble store in Springfield, NJ.  Groups of children, from schools throughout the county, enjoyed hearing books read by Freeholder Vernell Wright, Freeholder Alexander Mirabella, Freeholder Sergio Granados, Assemblyman Jamel Holley, Freeholder Christopher Hudak, Freeholder Bette Jane Kowalski, Steven Fernandez representative from Senator Booker’s office, staff and student teachers.  We provided gift bags and we also purchased books that were given away to the children.  Also, the New Jersey Hall of Fame’s Mobile Museum was there which showcased stories of true greatness.
